Bush Walking: Steingarten Country Walk

Some people go to the gym, we prefer go bush walking!

Hello fellas!

It's been a long time since our last post, but we've finally decided to come back here and update you with our adventures in Australia. The first thing you'll notice is that now the blog goes English!
It is because we have so many Aussie friends asking to include at least a caption to the photos that we've decided to go fully in English, I'm sure our friends back in Brazil will understand it and take this as an opportunity to rust off their English!

This trail is located in the iconic wine region of Barossa in South Australia. Besides the wineries you can find an amazing country landscape with local roads and great pubs! Here in the Trail Hill Road close to the trail entrance. A very steep and sharp angled corner and a break for a photo, of course!

The two photos below gives you an indication of the trail, we just followed the dotted line in a total of 8.8km. The last 4.4km proved to be the most challenging! With a steep hill to climb.

The group was formed by Oliver, Mat, Débora and I, and the plan was just simple, follow the trail and keep moving!

In the Steingarten Lookout, we stop for a break and also to discover one Geo Chase (for more details just log on: http://www.geocaching.com/ ) and Débora and Oliver just found it! Well done!

The following photos gives you an idea of the amazing sightseeing! I can imagine this during a sunset!

Moving on, here is the exact middle of the trail, there was a post indicating 4.4km remaining just close to that huge Gum tree! Now starts the fun!

Here is Débora just after climbing the last bit of that hill! Look down there where we did start the climbing!

In the final 2.0km we saw like a lookout on the top of a hill and we decided to go up there to have a look! Here is 360º photo!

I found this interesting gate, quite old and what a craftsmanship!

Look the beautiful contrast of the vegetation!

Finally, just a little tip when bushwalking! Always shut the gates after you, and if you have found it open, leave! Most of the cases there is a purpose for leaving gates open, maybe to allow livestock move from one paddock to another or any other reason!

That's all folks! Wait until our next update!
Cheers!
